Hailing all the way from Nashville, Tennessee, Meredith Johnston is Side Note’s soprano 2 and designated burper. Born and raised in music city USA, Meredith grew up singing in church choir, school choir, and talent shows. After her first talent show performance yodeling Leann Rimes’ “Blue”, she knew she’d never stray far from the music world.
Fast forward to 2015, she found herself auditioning for Side Note, itching to be a part of a small musical group again after a short hiatus since finishing college. When she’s not at practice on Tuesday nights, you can find her at The Mint (or really any karaoke bar around town) drinking whiskey gingers and probably singing early 2000 throwbacks (Stacie Orrico, anyone?) Meredith also loves pizza more than anyone you know – guaranteed – and will pet every dog she comes across.
